Umber is a small, independent studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. We design and build AI-native software for mobile and desktop — products you would actually want to use, built to last longer than a trend cycle.

Umber was started in Stockholm in 2025 to do one thing well: build AI-native software for the devices people actually carry and use every day. We are independent and self-funded, which means we move on our own terms and answer only to the work.
We are active in mobile — iOS and Android — and on desktop, macOS and Windows. Machine intelligence is not an add-on here. It is the primary material, designed into products from the first sketch.
We also take on a small number of client engagements each year, usually with founders or product teams who need a partner that can handle design, engineering, and the AI work under one roof.
